We are looking for a Quality and Product Assurance Engineer to join our team. You will become part of a growing Quality and Product Assurance group, with responsibility for the Quality Management System at D-Orbit UK. Within this team, you will own the quality of assigned projects, technology developments and the compliance of the QMS to the EN9100 norm. You will collaborate in standardization and training activities. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Achieve and maintain compliance to EN9100 at D-Orbit UK - supporting establishment and implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field. - preparing, tailoring and implementing general and project-specific programmatic and technical requirements based on the applicable product and quality assurance baseline. - supporting to monitor and report about supplier PA&S program execution to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this includes auditing activities. - Ensures compliance of the product with internal and external standards (monitoring operations, reporting inconsistencies) - Ensures compliance with the Quality Plan by Programs (verifies compliance with customer requirements) - Managing non-conformances, their analysis of root causes analysis and solution. - Interfacing with the Quality team in Italy. - Additional duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications and Requirements: You will have at least some of the following skills... - Experience working within a quality assurance environment - Experience with ISO9001 and/or EN9100 standard is a requirement. - Experience in the technical domains covered by the position - Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general. - Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering. - Full professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory. - Experience of at least 4y in relevant companies Education: - Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as aerospace engineering, electronic engineering, computer science or automation. Seniority - 3-4 years' experience in relevant activities → Specialist System Engineer About this role D-Orbit is hiring a system engineer to join our growing system engineering team. As integral part of the group, you will be involved in both the customization of already flight-qualified platforms, such as the ION Satellite Carrier Vehicle, and the design of new advanced missions. Your ultimate objective as system engineer is to ensure your system, the spacecraft, will fly safe to orbit, deliver the services required by mission objectives and eventually successfully accomplish its disposal. You will work together with other system engineers, following the full design and development cycle of the system product, starting from the preliminary design and the requirements capture, preliminary system architecture and detailed system/subsystem design, analysis and trade-off, definition of the verification campaign, test plan and procedures, execution of the tests on first prototypes and final requirements compliance assessment. You will interface with the procurement team for scouting of new technologies and support in the procurement process of flight parts, with the PM team for periodic reporting, planning and management, with the manufacturing team and the AIV team for the definition of the test plan, procedures, and setup, and with the flight ops team to support the definition of the operational plan and procedures of the maiden on-orbit mission.
