As an integral part of the group, you will be involved in the design, verification and validation, including launch and on-orbit operations of the various D-Orbit spacecraft platforms. As AIV engineer, your main focus will be on the verification and validation activities, including environmental test campaign and participation to the launch vehicle integration activities at the launch base. Your ultimate objective as AIV systems engineer is to verify ensure your systems, the spacecraft, is compliant vs the applicable requirements and validated against the user needs in the real operative mission.   You will work together with other systems engineers, following the full design and development cycle of the systems product, starting from the preliminary design and the requirements capture, preliminary systems architecture and detailed systems/subsystems design, analysis and trade-off, definition of the verification campaign, test plan and procedures, execution of the tests on first prototypes and final requirements compliance assessment. Particularly you will focus on requirements verification methods and compliance matrixes, verification and validation plan and technology development plan. You will define test specifications/procedures and actively participate in the execution of the verification activities, including reporting and data postprocessing to eventually demonstrate requirement compliance. This is not a role for just a pure software test engineer but also for an experienced embedded software engineer because you will have to design and to develop applications for satellite simulator and test environment. You will become part of a growing software Verification and Validation (V&V) group responsible for ensuring software quality across a range of embedded and high performance applications in space. The main objective of your work will be designing and developing of HIL satellite simulator, improving the V&V infrastructure to enable the simulation of new sensors and actuators. The job will also focus on the automated test procedures for the flight software of avionic platforms used on board of our spacecrafts under development. Within a continuous integration environment, you will contribute to the entire application lifecycle with a focus on the test and integration. As an integral part of the group, you will be responsible of the customization of already flight-qualified platforms, such as the ION Satellite Carrier Vehicle, and the design of new advanced missions.
