As an integral part of the group, you will be involved in both the customization of already flight-qualified platforms, such as the ION Satellite Carrier Vehicle, and the design of new advanced missions. Apply now and join us in shaping the future of space.   We are looking for a Software Product Assurance Engineer with a solid experience in Software Product Assurance to join our team.  You will become part of a growing and dynamic Quality and Product Assurance group granting quality of software components across a range of embedded and high-performance applications both in ground and space segments with responsibility for the Quality Management System at D-Orbit.    You will contribute to the entire project lifecycle with a focus on development process, quality metrics, failure modes analysis, configuration management, test, and maintenance plans of software applications.    Key Responsibilities:   - Contribute to the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of D-Orbit Product Assurance organization. - Control, through every phase of the software development lifecycle, that the organisation, resources and processes are commensurate to the Products or Service quality levels committed by internal and external stakeholders - Ensure software processes are followed correctly and consistently - Define and monitor quality metrics across software lifecycle - Manage software configuration to ensure availability and traceability of software products - Contribute to the definition of an effective non-conformance control system, and support the documentation, follow-up and closure of anomaly reports and non-conformance reports, including the follow-up of Request for Deviation/Request for Waiver status; - Ensure the maintenance and control of: - Qualification Status Lists; - Status of PA reviews; - Audits Status Reports; - List of Deviations and Waiver requests; - Non-conformances (minor and major) List; - Critical items List. - Contribute towards the definition, implementation and follow-up of dependability, reliability and availability of the programme, including maintenance and update of RAMS models and review of RAMS analysis (e.g. MECA, FTA, Common Mode and Common cause); - Scouting of the latest state-of-the-art tools and processes within the software discipline and driving their adoption within the group   Requirements:   - Appropriate professional experience of at least five years in the space field  - Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with and analyze large data sets - Experience with any automated testing tools, test processes and test-driven development - Knowledge of typical software development methodology and release versioning processes - Knowledge of applicable standards on software development and validation (such as ECSS or DO-178) Familiarity with the Git versioning system or any similar DVCS - Capability of working in autonomy - Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively - Knowledge of any topics within embedded application software, real-time operating systems and electronics is considered a plus   Education:   Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic engineering, computer science or automation.   Language:   Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory, any other language is a plus, Italian is an asset.     At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate. As Product Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible to support the product assurance and safety of the platforms of D-Orbit. Within this team, you will contribute to the quality of the assigned projects composed by both platforms and services. You will report to the Head of Product Assurance. You are involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of product assurance and the related safety engineering of the assigned project. You carry out technological research (R&D) in the fields of PA&S management, techniques, methodologies and tools and collaborate in standardisation and training activities.    Key Responsibilities:   - Prepare and implement general and project-specific programmatic and technical documentation as well as requirements starting from the applicable product and quality assurance baseline.  - Perform tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements.  - Provide support to Product Assurance deliverables status within specific projects and related RIDs and AIs from the Customer.  - Ensure compliance of products and services with respect to internal and external standards and requirements.  - Support technology roadmaps managing quality aspects.  - Work in synergy with project leading team providing PA&S support  - Monitor and report about subcontractor and supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this may include auditing activities.  - Support the establishment and the implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field.  - Support the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects.  - Support non-conformances management through root cause analysis - Additional duties may be assigned as needed.    Requirements:   •         At least 2 years of proven experience in managing space product assurance activities in multiple complex projects, including experience with institutions. •         Experience on PA&S topics within Space projects.  •         Experience working with Space institutional customers.  •         Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general.  •         Ability to manage assigned tasks to comply with project schedule.  •         Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.  •         Capability of working in autonomy as well as in team.  •         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  •         Ability to work in a team setting to meet tight schedules.  •         Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering.    Preferred Qualifications:   •         Experience with EN9100 standard.  •         Experience working with requirements management tool.  •         Knowledge of any topics within configuration management, quality auditing or certification.   Language:   Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory, any other language is a plus, Italian is an asset.     At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
