You will become part of the growing Quality and Product Assurance group.  Within this team, you will be involved in all the production processes starting from the incoming of raw parts to the delivery of completed spacecraft.   You will be involved in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance in all the manufacturing phases of the D-Orbit products and spacecrafts. You will carry out activities to assure the applicable requirements and standards are met in the production process.   Tasks and Responsibilities - Performing visual inspections of PCBs, Mechanical parts, Wirings, Subsystems and SpacecrafPerforming checks to production documentation to assure readiness to manufacture. - Performing validation checks of reports. - Ensuring compliance of the product with respect to internal and external standards and requirements (monitoring operations, reporting inconsistencies). - Managing non-conformances, their solution and analysis of root causes. - Supervisioning critical activities such as Test Campaign and Launch Campaign. - Assuring instruments calibration in the company.   Additional duties may be assigned as needed.   Experience Required We are looking for the following experience: - Experience working as a quality inspector - Experience in the technical domains covered by the position - Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general. - Experience with ISO9001 and/or EN9100 standard is considered an asset. - Knowledge of electronic inspection standards (Certifications such as ECSS-Q-ST-70-38, ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, ECSS-Q-ST-70-30 are considered a plus).   You will have many of the following skills: - Capability of working in autonomy - Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team setting to meet tight schedules - Natural inclination in finding weaknesses in processes and proactivity/creativity in finding solutions   Experience At least 1-2 years of proven experience in aerospace quality assurance.   Availability Requested availability for national and non-national business trips for short periods of time 1-2 weeks   Education Technical High School degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical.   Language Full English professional proficiency

Apply now and join us in shaping the future of space.   We are looking for a Software Product Assurance Engineer with a solid experience in Software Product Assurance to join our team.  You will become part of a growing and dynamic Quality and Product Assurance group granting quality of software components across a range of embedded and high-performance applications both in ground and space segments with responsibility for the Quality Management System at D-Orbit.    You will contribute to the entire project lifecycle with a focus on development process, quality metrics, failure modes analysis, configuration management, test, and maintenance plans of software applications.    Key Responsibilities:   - Contribute to the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of D-Orbit Product Assurance organization. - Control, through every phase of the software development lifecycle, that the organisation, resources and processes are commensurate to the Products or Service quality levels committed by internal and external stakeholders - Ensure software processes are followed correctly and consistently - Define and monitor quality metrics across software lifecycle - Manage software configuration to ensure availability and traceability of software products - Contribute to the definition of an effective non-conformance control system, and support the documentation, follow-up and closure of anomaly reports and non-conformance reports, including the follow-up of Request for Deviation/Request for Waiver status; - Ensure the maintenance and control of: - Qualification Status Lists; - Status of PA reviews; - Audits Status Reports; - List of Deviations and Waiver requests; - Non-conformances (minor and major) List; - Critical items List. - Contribute towards the definition, implementation and follow-up of dependability, reliability and availability of the programme, including maintenance and update of RAMS models and review of RAMS analysis (e.g. MECA, FTA, Common Mode and Common cause); - Scouting of the latest state-of-the-art tools and processes within the software discipline and driving their adoption within the group   Requirements:   - Appropriate professional experience of at least five years in the space field  - Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with and analyze large data sets - Experience with any automated testing tools, test processes and test-driven development - Knowledge of typical software development methodology and release versioning processes - Knowledge of applicable standards on software development and validation (such as ECSS or DO-178) Familiarity with the Git versioning system or any similar DVCS - Capability of working in autonomy - Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively - Knowledge of any topics within embedded application software, real-time operating systems and electronics is considered a plus   Education:   Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic engineering, computer science or automation.   Language:   Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory, any other language is a plus, Italian is an asset.     At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
