From D-Orbit's mission control centre, you will conduct end-to-end mission operations, from launch to final deorbiting. In this important role, you will work in the Propulsion engineering area, where you will work on the design of the electric propulsion s/s of a new GEO satellite bus. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to design, analyze, test, and integrate high-performance propulsion systems.   Key Responsibilities:   - Design and development of propulsion subsystem composed by hall thruster-based propulsion technology. - Follow and review performance, lifetime, and reliability analyses for EP systems, ensuring compliance with agency and internal standards. - Management of technical coordination between multiple suppliers. - Develop test plans to validate the performance of EP systems. - Follow the development and the qualification of HTU, PPU and pressure vessels. - Regularly reporting to the Head of Propulsion and Lead System Engineer.   Qualifications and requirements:   - At least 1 year of professional experience in electric propulsion engineering. - Deep understanding of the functioning of electric propulsion systems, and of the disciplines involved. - Experience planning and conducting tests with electric propulsion systems. - Experience in lifetime testing. - Knowledge of plasma phenomena by theory and simulation. - Previous experience with Hall thruster. - Previous experience with Power Processing Unit. - Previous experience with EP s/s development and qualification. - Strong experience in reading and creating P&ID's. - Strong experience and understanding of mechanical, fluidic, electrical, and logical interactions. - Strong familiarity with ECSS standards.   Preferential skills:   - Model plasma phenomena by theory and simulation. - Experience with pressurized systems. - Experience with tanks development and qualification. - Previous hands-on experience with Krypton. - Previous experience in institutional project. - Previous experience in In Orbit Servicing (IOS) project.   Education:   Master's degree in aerospace engineering or plasma physics is required. As Associate Mission Manager you will support the Mission Manager for the execution and delivery of D-Orbit's launch services through all phases of operations, including but not limited to mission planning, customer management, launch service management, and post-launch operations delivery.   Tasks and Responsibilities:    - Support Customers during the whole mission execution ensuring mission success and customer satisfaction - Review and evaluate the mission status on a continuing basis - Manage exchanges and reviews with the Launch Service provider to ensure approval for flight. - Support in-person customer meetings and launch site integration activities - Ensure that mission requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed down to the internal team. - Interface with internal engineering, management, and production teams to ensure on-time execution of the mission - Collaborate with Engineering team to assess the readiness of the platform for flight. - Collaborate to continuously develop and improve D-Orbit's mission management program and processes - Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.   Required Technical Skills:    - 1+ years of experience on technical project management - 1+ years of experience in the aerospace industry; - Technical background in space applications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; - Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach; - Proactive attitude and ability to work in team and individually; - Good Knowledge of software tools for PM support like Microsoft Project;   Education:    Advanced University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) preferably in Aerospace Engineering or Management Engineering.   Language:    This role requires professional proficiency in English.    At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate. Apply now and join us in shaping the future of space.   Tasks and Responsibilities:   - Develop,optimize and maintain the thermal model of the satellite, ensuring it aligns with design specifications and performance requirements. - Conduct thermal predictions for flight scenarios including hot case and cold case analyses to ensure the satellite's optimal performance. - Correlate the developed thermal model with experimental results and flight data, analyzing discrepancies and refining models to achieve accuracy, reliability, and performance objectives. - Plan, conduct and evaluate thermal tests - Generate detailed analysis reports, effectively communicating findings, conclusions, and recommendations. - Develop scripts or tools to enhance results post-processing.   Job Requirements:   - Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal analysis. - Proficiency in developing and optimizing thermal models, preferably in the aerospace industry. - Proficiency in using Airbus Systema Thermica or ESATAN. - Ability to conduct thermal predictions and analyses for various flight scenarios. - Skills in correlating model predictions with experimental results and refining models based on discrepancies. - Experience in drafting technical specifications and generating detailed analysis reports - Ability to effectively communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations - Familiarity with space standards such as ECSS is a plus.   Language: - Proficiency in both English and Italian is required.   At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
