D-Orbit is looking for a AIV-AIT System Engineer to join our system engineering team. As a AIV-AIT Engineer, you will be involved in shaping the Assembly, Integration, Verification and Testing of newly developed platforms and future products. Your ultimate objective in this role is to ensure our products are built and tested to high standards and meet all requirements. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with all D-Orbit's engineering teams and system designers, you will be tasked with preparing and maintaining test procedures and plans, including designing and selecting the required test equipment, and finally, carrying out the tests. Your work will shape how subsystems and spacecraft are assembled and tested. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan the integration and testing of new satellites from components acceptance to launch
  campaign shipment
• Create the documentation required for the verification, including test procedures and
  reports.
• Work closely with the engineers responsible for the subsystems to define methods and
  requirements for subsystem test procedures.
• Technical Input to project/product to ensure that new processes and test methods are
  optimized for AIT activities (Design for Manufacture / Assembly & Design for Test).
• Definition and Design of tooling for test execution
• Responsible for ensuring that our verification and testing processes are standardized,
  optimized, and current. 
   

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in Test Engineering.
• Knowledge of System Engineering and system-level knowledge of spacecraft subsystems
• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Test (functional testing, Electrical
  bonding/isolation, Vibration, TVAC)
• Good understanding and detailed experience with all types of test instruments
  (Multimeters, oscilloscopes, vector analyzers, function generators, etc...).
• Experience in writing engineering documents, test procedures.
• Quality-driven approach with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety principles and their application to the specific
  environment.
• High self-motivation and excellent organizational & prioritization skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Degree in aerospace, electrical/electronics engineering or a related discipline 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the relevant ECSS standards for the Space sector
• Experience in design and implementation of ground equipment (tooling, Jigs and test
  equipment).
• Clean room experience.
• Knowledge of improvement philosophies.
