The Procurement Specialist - Indirect is responsible for procuring goods and services for staff functions, such as IT, People, General Services, Communication, and Finance. The role involves identifying key suppliers, negotiating purchasing agreements, and obtaining high-quality goods and services at the lowest possible prices.

 

Qualifications:

 

•        People person and good at networking

•        Financial analysis skills

•        Understanding of supply chain management procedures

•        Knowledge of supply management software (inventory management, procurement, project management, enterprise resource planning, and general office programs)

•        At least 2 years of proven experience purchasing indirect materials, consumables, services, and software

•        Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Applied Science, IT or a related field

 

Job Role:

 

•        Execute requisitions and purchasing orders for indirect materials, software, consultancy services, consumables, site services, transportation, and logistics

•        Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs

•        Monitor business trends and product availability to obtain the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times

•        Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company

•        Identify and research potential new suppliers

•        Assess the total cost of company purchases for indirect materials and services

•        Develop and implement strategies to minimize the total expenditures for IT software and external consultancy services

•        Work with the legal department to ensure favorable contracts and terms

•        Generate procurement reports

•        Maintain relevant business partner and purchasing data inside the ERP system

•        Report to the Head of Procurement
