 As a Mission Analyst in the Flight Dynamics team you will be tasked with orbital concepts, manoeuvres planning and execution and orbit determination for D-Orbit's Fleet of Carriers and Reconnaissance and Servicing Vessels.

 

From D-Orbit's mission control centre, within the Spaceflight Operations team, you will also support end-to-end mission operations, from design to execution, from launch to final deorbiting.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support to top level design and requirements definition, starting from mission and payload requirements;
  • Detailed operations requirements and design definitions;
  • Flight dynamics analysis and manoeuvre planning;
  • Produce orbit concepts, manoeuvres' strategies and costs analysis
  • Interfacing with all subsystems and software team to define constraints and safety margins;
  • Interfacing with Operations team to define constraints and safe manoeuvring procedures;
  • On-orbit operations procedures definitions and verification,
  • Anomaly identification and resolution;
  • Authoring of Technical documents;

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

You will have at least some of the following skills...

 

  • At least 2 years of working experience in relevant space engineering domain (e.g., flight dynamics, system engineering, flight operations, etc.);
  • Knowledge of spaceflight dynamics and manoeuvre planning;
  • Knowledge of System Engineering, Orbital and Attitude Dynamics;
  • Knowledge of Spaceflight Operations;
  • Knowledge in scripting languages (Python) and flight dynamics tools (Orekit, GMAT);
  • Knowledge of Ground Segment architectures;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in team and individually;
  • Experience in spaceflight operations and/or AIV processes is a strong plus;
  • Familiarity with On-Board Control Procedures concepts is a plus;

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as aerospace engineering, electronic engineering, computer science or automation.

 

Language:

 

  • Full professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
