Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in managing and supporting complex IT infrastructures, with a particular focus on Windows and Linux servers, networking services, various Microsoft technologies, and cybersecurity. In addition, the candidate should possess advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and Python, with a strong emphasis on automation. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and maintain enterprise-level IT systems, including Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage and optimize networking services, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra environments.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Fortigate firewalls and other security solutions.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect IT infrastructure, including vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, and other relevant scripting languages.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy IT solutions that meet business and security needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, cybersecurity threats, and best practices to continuously improve the IT environment.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Windows Servers: Advanced expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows server environments.
  • Linux Servers: Strong experience with Linux server administration and support.
  • Networking Services: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, services, and devices, with hands-on experience in configuring and managing them.
  • Microsoft 365: Proven experience in deploying and managing Microsoft 365 services.
  • Microsoft Entra: Solid understanding and experience with Microsoft Entra ID and related services.
  • Fortigate: Strong knowledge of Fortigate firewalls, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Cybersecurity: Experience in implementing and managing cybersecurity frameworks, strong knowledge of cybersecurity topics and main concepts, and responding to security incidents.
  • Monitoring: Expertise in setting up and managing monitoring solutions for infrastructure health, performance, and security.
  • PowerShell Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating Windows-based tasks.
  • Python Scripting: Strong skills in Python scripting for automation and system management.

This is not a role for just a pure software test engineer but also for an embedded software engineer because you will have to develop applications for satellite simulator and test environment. You will become part of a growing software Verification and Validation (V&V) group responsible for ensuring software quality across a range of embedded and high performance applications in space.
